MBST® is designed to stimulate bone cells to regenerate, helping to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, improve mobility, and support active living with an improved quality of life.
More than 200 million people worldwide suffer from osteoporosis.¹ It often goes unnoticed in its early stages, as there are usually no symptoms until a fracture occurs.
As the condition progresses, bones become brittle and break more easily, even from minor incidents, or what seemed like ordinary back pain turns out to be vertebral fractures.
One in three women and one in five men over the age of 50 will experience an osteoporotic fracture.² Most frequent are for example fractures of the femoral head, which result in permanent restrictions of everyday life for 50% of the patients. 20% even become dependent on care.³
In a healthy body, bone mass is constantly being renewed as damaged tissue is broken down and replaced by new tissue.
In osteoporosis or osteopenia, this balance in the bone metabolism is disrupted – leading to an imbalance where the bone is broken down faster than it can be rebuilt.
As a result, bones lose density and become more brittle, increasing the risk of fractures from even minor falls or daily activities.
Medications like bisphosphonates are often used to slow down bone loss.
However, many patients discontinue these treatments due to common side effects like gastrointestinal issues, or the complex and long-term nature of the treatment involving daily dosages or repeated injections.⁴ Severe side effects such as necrosis of the jaw are also possible.⁵
Early diagnosis, prevention, and proper treatment are crucial for managing the disease. Without treatment, the increasing fragility of bones can severely limit mobility and quality of life.
MBST® targets the root cause of osteoporosis: the disruption of bone metabolism. By stimulating bone cells, MBST® encourages several biophysical processes within the cells which may support the restoration of a healthy metabolism.⁶-¹⁰
This may activate natural repair processes to promote regeneration and restoration of bone tissue and structure.
Scientific and clinical studies, conducted in collaboration with various universities, confirm the positive effects of MBST® on osteoporosis-related symptoms and an increase in bone density (i.e. bone growth marker osteocalcin) in treated patients.⁶,¹¹,¹²
MBST® aims to support the body’s natural regeneration processes directly at the cellular level.
By targeted cell stimulation, several biophysical processes within the tissue are encouraged, which may promote regeneration and new tissue development.
MBST® aims to sustainably support the regeneration of bone tissue. High bone density is the goal of every kind of osteoporosis treatment to reduce the risk for fractures.
MBST® is a certified medical product used only in the medical field. It’s offered by practices, clinics, and centres as part of their treatment options to ensure you receive the best possible care for your condition.
The TÜV-certified manufacturing process ensures the quality, safety, and reliability of the MBST® therapy worldwide.
There have been no reported side effects of MBST® therapy in more than 20 years of application and about 2 million hours of treatment.
A study showed that only 2 of 450 patients with osteoporosis suffered a fracture within up to 2 years after MBST® treatment.¹² If necessary, the MBST® treatment can be repeated any number of times.
The MBST® therapy cannot fix damages that developed over a long period of time just overnight. If you do not feel an immediate effect, it is not a sign of failed treatment. Many patients report rapid improvements in mobility and pain, even complete relief of pain – sometimes already during the ongoing treatment series.⁸-¹¹ Depending on the individual and their diagnosis, other patients only start to feel the effects several weeks and up to three months after treatment.
