Your treatment is tailored to you at your treatment centre. MBST® therapy can be used alone or alongside other treatments. Depending on your diagnosis, combining MBST® with other methods may help achieve the best possible results.
Depending on your diagnosis and your personal medical history, your healthcare professional will inform you which therapy is most suitable for you and plan your treatment accordingly. Your healthcare professional will guide you and support you throughout the treatment process.
An accurate diagnosis is essential for successful treatment. That’s why MBST® – as a certified medical device – is only used after a medical diagnosis and by trained professionals. MBST® therapy is tissue-specific, meaning the therapy card with optimised treatment frequencies for your condition is selected based on your diagnosis.
A typical course of MBST® treatment includes 5 to 10 sessions, depending on the type and severity of the condition. More may be needed for multiple injuries or more complex cases.
MBST® sessions last for 60 minutes. During this time, you will either lie or sit in or next to the therapy device, depending on your condition and which part of your body is being treated. Get comfortable! Your healthcare professional will be there to support you throughout.
Treatment with an MBST® therapy device is pain-free and silent. You can remain fully clothed, and there is no need to remove jewellery or piercings. During treatment, you can read, listen to music, or simply use the session as a chance to relax. You are free to move around on the device. Just ensure that the treated body part stays within the active treatment field at all time.
Each treatment session consists of several phases: pain reduction, activation and regeneration. The start of the next phase is marked by a soft “beep”. Some patients may also notice changes in the treatment frequencies and experience different gentle, mild sensations during each phase.
The goal of the MBST® therapy is to support the body’s natural physiological processes. However, regeneration takes time and doesn’t happen overnight.
Some patients report noticeable pain relief after the first few treatment sessions, with some also experiencing improved mobility and greater freedom of movement, such as finding it significantly easier to climb stairs.
However, for degenerative conditions like osteoarthritis, the full effect is often only noticeable several weeks or even up to three months after treatment. If you have any doubts or questions, please contact your MBST® treatment centre.
Studies show patients experience pain relief and improved mobility in 80-85% of the cases.* In many cases, the improvements lasted for several years after the treatment. How long the effects last differs from patient to patient. Refreshing your treatment with a reduced number of treatment sessions can be useful to support better long-term results. Your doctor can advise you on the next steps after your treatment.
